Constipation is a digestive problem, which is caused by various factors. Usually these cases arise when we are babies or toddlers that just start consuming solid foods. This is because there is no sufficient fiber in their diet. This can happen to anyone irrespective of the age. It depends on their food intake and the diet. There are certain things one should avoid. At the same time, intake of few things can help you in overcoming this problem. Beans, nuts and flax seeds – these things are very high with protein and fiber. Even though red meat has protein in them, digesting it can become a pain and if it isn’t cooked well. However, plant based products like nuts and beans are easily digested by the body, when compared to the meat proteins.

Any food, which is rich in fiber helps in passing the stool from your body. Vegetables like cabbages, carrots, leafy greens, prunes, etc. are the best things to get fiber. Fruits like blueberries, papaya, apple, figs, watermelon, bananas, avocados, etc. will help you greatly. Adding grain items and food is also a good addition, like whole wheat bread, oats, wheat bran, wheat germ and whole rice. Follow this advice with your diet and you will come out with a proper digestive process. You will not have any problems with digestion or constipation.
